They are made of absorbent lightweight fabrics that do an excellent job of removing excess water and drying you off quite quickly. These womens robes are also good to travel with since they do not require much room in the suitcase.

Another major difference in the types of ladies robes that are purchased is the material. Different materials and styles work best for different seasons of the year. Cotton waffle, silk, satin, and micro fiber robes are often the lightest in weight. These materials offer a more breathable function and work best for spring and summer months. Chenille, cashmere, velour, cotton terry, and luxury spa robes are all often thicker and warmer materials. Some work very well at insulating body heat. These materials are best for fall and winter robe use. They also work well at absorbing moisture as when at a spa or after bathing.
